I.        The purpose of this assignment is to create a personal website using Microsoft Expression Web authoring software.  You may create your page to your own specifications but I would encourage you to follow acceptable guidelines and good design theory.  Feel free to express yourself as you wish so long as you do not violate school policies. 

Requirements     

• minimum of 14 pages with working links to and from the home page
• include a color scheme with a background color or image
• include images appropriate size for page
• thumbnail links to larger images if appropriate
• include external links to relates sites
• all files must be in your directory on the H drive, your grade will be lowered if you have broken links (the red x where pictures should appear).
• Include all PhotoShop Elements Activities (Magazine Cover, Postcard, , GeoShape 1 and 2 Activity, Movie Poster, Me Collage other projects)
• This is your FINAL PROJECT due at the end of the class.  I will check your progress weekley with a progress grade. 
• We will continue to do other activities and projects while working on your FINAL PROJECT.  Please DO NOT WASTE TIME. 

You can focus on your hobbies, sports, bands, or whatever.  We should learn something about you through the web page.

The finished product should have the same “look”:

Copy the Pumpkin King 2 image to you H drive.  This image is located at:  L:\Tomlinson\Pumpkin King

Colorize the image and make 4 different variations.  When you are ready to put them all together, make a new image 4 inches x 4 inches at 72dpi resolution.  Have fun and be creative.

Save the file to the L:\Tomlinson\Pumpkin King\P2 or P10 using your lastname.firstname.  Make sure you save a copy to your H drive!

The Assignment:

Students work collaboratively in teams using Microsoft Photo Story to create a multimedia presentation about wikis, blogs, podcasts, and webcasts. Students may include Web 2.0 topics that they use or would like to know more about in their presentation. Each team will research a topic, locate appropriate images for their topic, title each image, narrate each image, add a transition (custom motion), create background music, and save it. Each team will project their presentation to the class.

We will be completing a series of Microsoft FrontPage lessons online.  The first one, Create a Website with FrontPage, will help you understand the design process.  After completing the tutorial, sketch your personal website on paper or use Word, Excel, or Google Docs to create it.  You may also try Gliffy Online Diagram Software or Lovely Charts Online.
