Okay…as if the title isn’t enough of a reason for all eighth graders to try this book!   It’s also an opportunity for the boys to jump on the vampire wagon.

Vlad is a great character.  He’s not only trying to come to terms with his inner vampire, but trying to deal with all the issues that teens face today:  bullying, grades and getting the nerve to approach the girl of his dreams.  This book was filled with humor and suspense.  To add to that, it also made me queasy.  Who dips chocolate chip cookies in blood!!??  Vlad does.

This is the first book of Vlad’s story.  I’m traveling to Barnes and Noble this weekend  to pick up the next two in the series.
