Education - Undergraduate (University of Rio Grande, Integrated Social Studies) , Masters Degree (Kent State University, Masters of Information and Library Science)
Hobbies - Hiking, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rafting the Gauley or the New Rivers in WV, Books, Books, Books, Jujitsu, Traveling anywhere unfamiliar, Playing with my kids, and being creative!
Favorite Books - Bible, Into the Wild, The Frontiersmen, The Historian, The Screwtape Letters, The Chronicles of Narnia, Wild About Books, Kite Runner, and the list goes on and on……
Favorite Movies - Gladiator, Braveheart, The Indiana Jones Trilogy, Dead Poets Society, Hotel Rwanda, Band of Brothers, The Passion of the Christ, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Favorite Music - U2, Coldplay, Mat Kearney, Caedmon’s Call, Jack Johnson
Things that Frustrate Me - politics/politicians, people who don’t want to learn, people who try not to smile, litter bugs, those who don’t keep it real!
Things that Make Me Smile - my family, kids reading books, Will Ferrell, llamas, Chipolte Burriots, and home!
If I weren’t a Librarian What Would I Be? - photographer, teacher, professional thumb wrestler, llama racer, professional traveler.
Cool Stuff I have Done - Climbed Mt. Adams (12,000+), rafted the Upper Gauley, traveled to Japan, canoed in Canada, watched a lot of Reading Rainbow, told people I was sorry, had kids (my wife actually gave birth to them), and I have surrendered all!
Cool Stuff I want to Do - Roadtrip West, travel to Europe and Africa, someday get my black belt in jujitsu, be a good dad, learn a second language, eat healthier, and contribute to society!
