Sharing Books
Who has ever heard of a librarian who did not share books? Well, I had a wake up call the other day from my soon to be three year old son. Rowen and my daughter Lucy were attempting to unshelve my books, which they often do with their own stash of literature. Of course, I scolded them for playing with daddy’s books and my son looked up at me and said, “Daddy you have to share!” After I bit my lip to keep from laughing, I explained to him the difference between my books and his own. I did feel bad for a moment because a librarian should share books with all patrons, right? Lucy response to the whole ordeal - doolhh! (I think translated to English means “that’s right daddy”) I hate when they team up on me!
