The Elements of Style
A person’s writing can always be improved! There are always new ways to convey a story, words to learn, and constructive criticism to accept. Because this is true I have decided to read William Strunk’s The Elements of Style. I first used this book in college and have since filed it away, but I came across a copy of it the other day in the library and decided to give it another chance! After reading a few pages my eyes have been opened again to how much I need to learn and practice. It is roughly 7o pages long and has been revised by E.B. White. One rule Strunk conveys is the need for a writer to be concise, which I have not been in this blog! (I am still retraining my mind) Anyone out there who wants to improve their writing would benefit from this quick read!
