Lately, Mr. Peloquin (the legend) has been bringing his classes in to do research on the Middle Ages.  The kids are choosing topics such as: crime & punishment, weapons, Shakespeare, Elizabethan fashion, the Crusades, etc.  One of the books that the kids were using caught my eye the other day - God’s War by Christopher Tyerman.  It is an extensive history of the Crusades, which are more complex than most people think.  I started reading it and have found it challenging to say the least, but it has motivated me to investigate these religious/political battles.  What have you learned today?  Make it your goal to learn something new today!
