I began a new book this week called Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer.  He is the same author who wrote Into the Wild, which I have been promoting!  I promise after this one I will branch out to a different author! I think one of the things I like most about Jon Krakauer is the fact that he experiences the places and stories he writes about.  A lot of his books come as a result of articles he has written for periodicals.  He isn’t just writing about Mt. Everest in Into Thin Air, he was on the expedition!  I also believe he is an honest writer, which is evident when reading his books.  You know when he is scared, worried, excited, angry, etc.  Krakauer is becoming one of my favorite nonfiction writers and I think some reluctant readers out there might find his real life stories intriguing!  Give him a try!
