The 2008 Congressional art show was celebrated in Circleville yesterday. Four of our wonderful art students had art work competing with all four of the county schools for the top four places to go on to Springfield at the end of April. The four students by place here at Logan Elm are 1st- Owen Castensen, 2nd – Ashley Vanbibber, 3rd – Katie Todd, and 4th – Jennifer Haddox. The top four pieces to move on to the State Competition were juried from all county schools and I am proud to announce that two of our students will be representing Logan Elm high school and Pickaway County in Springfield. 1st Place belonged to Owen Castensen and 2nd place belonged to Ashley Vanbibber. These two received a total of $500 in this competition. Congratulations to all of the art students who received special recognition in this show. If you tune into Channel 5 out of Circleville on Sunday after noon you will be able to view the award ceremony in full.
