The following chart outlines the new requirements that graduates in the Class of 2011 need to complete in order to receive an honors diploma.

The information is also outlined on page 17 of the 2009-2010 Logan Elm High School Handbook for Students and Parents and on page 5 of the Logan Elm High School Scheduling Booklet.  If you have any questions about the requirements feel free to call the Logan Elm Guidance Department or Administration at 474-7503.

Comparison of Diplomas with Honors Criteria

Students need to fulfill all but one criterion for any of the following Diplomas with Honors

 Diploma with Honors requirements pre-suppose completion of all high school diploma requirements in Ohio Revised Code including:
½ unit physical education**
½ unit health
½ unit in American history
½ unit in government

**SB 311 allows school districts to adopt a policy exempting students who participate in athletics, marching band or cheerleading for two full seasons from the physical education requirement.
