1. No food or drink permitted in the lab, this includes candy and gum. You
will be asked to place it in the trashcan and warned. The next offense will
result in a disciplinary referral to the office and most likely a Wednesday
school. This ensures the lab will stay nice.
2. Your password is a private number do not share it with anyone,
including your partner.
3. Logging into the system takes attendance. I will record attendance at the
beginning of class and at the end of the class. Dont log off of the system
and just sit there. Be sure to stay busy the entire block of time. If you
take a break you will not finish 16 modules within the 9-week period.
4. Do not log off and do nothing. Your grade will suffer!
5. Push chairs in and clean up module desk before you leave. You are
responsible for all materials at your station.
6. No personal music devices or music CDs permitted in class!
7. Do not line up at the door and wait for the bell to ring I will dismiss
you.
8. You may bring your own headphones to listen to the online instructions.
9. NO INTERNET WITHOUT PERMISSION! A few modules will have you use the
Internet as part of the module. 1st offense warning, subsequent offenses
loss of Internet privilege and or ADP.
Procedures
1. You will work with the same partner for the entire 9-week period. Your
grade is not dependent upon your partner.
2. You will complete the introduction, pre-test, and activities together and
then log off and log on individually to take the post-test. The partner not
taking the test will move away from the person taking the test. Before you
take the post-test, it is a good idea to review the activities and workbook.
3. If you miss a day of class, you will have to come in during study hall,
before school, or after school to make up the time. You partner has to move
on to get through the modules.
4. You are responsible for all materials at the station! I will do a spot
check at the end of the period to check for neatness and all material. Be
sure to take the inventory section of the modules seriously.
5. You may have a post-test cleared and retake it if you submit the retake
form. Be sure to record your new score on the Module Checklist.
Tips for Success in this Lab
1. Do not rush through the modules. Take your time and READ and then REREAD
the material. Use you partner as a resource, each should contribute.
2. Before taking the post-test, go back through the activities and review
the material.
3. Have patience! Technology occasionally fails and we have to work through
problems.
***VERY IMPORTANT***
4. Naming files: You must begin the name with your class number. For
example, if you are in class 334, your file names should look like this:
334ttbm. Class number and initial of group. Be sure to save to the correct
path, to the C drive, which is the hard drive. Record the file name in
your student workbook. If you fail to follow the directions above, your
files may be deleted or lost.
